Procurement Performance

Method and context. No blind spots.

Indirect procurement, from both sides of the table. When you buy: know where the money goes, stop taking whatever the energy market hands you, decide on numbers instead of instinct. When you bid: understand what the buyer is really after, because that was me for twelve years. Thirty-seven years in industry, twelve of them running indirect procurement across Europe.

Why this area

Three stances that set this area apart from a classic consultancy.

01

A practitioner, not boardroom advice

12 years as European Indirect Procurement Manager in a specialty chemicals environment. The tools, the methods, the negotiations, I ran them myself, not from a distance.

02

A mutual gains stance

Trained in the Mutual Gains Approach from the Harvard Negotiation Project. No saving is durable without a supplier relationship that is defensible on both sides.

03

Savings validated by controlling

Numbers count when they hold up in front of the CFO. A structured pipeline method, adversarial validation, no Excel-only victories.

WHERE IT STARTS

Two sides of the table, one experience

You buy, or you bid to those who do. Both run on the same material: what the buyer actually looks at.

When you buy

You do not know where your money goes, your energy bill takes whatever the market hands you, and your decisions get made beside the numbers you already own.

I was the buyer for twelve years. It is the same table, and I know what gets looked at on both sides.

When you bid

You lose tenders without knowing why, and price is almost never the real reason.

What I bring once I’m in

TCO Transition and TCO Academy don’t sell on their own, they get delivered inside work already under way. If what you need is someone to hold the function in the meantime, I do that too, on an interim basis. If what you need is for the team to keep the method after I leave, the training runs on your live files, never on textbook cases.

As for AI, it runs through these rather than being one more of them. I explore it where it genuinely adds something, and I say so when it does not. TCO360 Augmenté →
